Three Ways to ‘Propose’ to your Bridal Party using Jewellery

It can be a nerve wracking moment when you ask your best friends to stand by your side on your big day. And rightly so, as bridesmaids and groomsmen are important people when it comes to the success of a wedding. As such, we’ve heard of many brides and grooms going the extra mile to ‘propose’ to their bridal party.

Jewellery is increasingly becoming a popular way of asking those people closest to us to support us through this major life event. Here at EK Jewellers Ilford, we’ve come up with three ways, therefore, that you can involve jewellery in popping the big question to your bridal party:

1.  Works like a Bridal Charm

With most women nowadays owning a fashionable charm bracelet, using a charm to ask your loved one to be your bridesmaid is a great way of giving them something to remember the moment by. Many jewellers stock a wide range of charms for a variety of bracelet types for you to choose from.

We suggest giving them something related to your friendship, rather than something wedding related, purely because they may already have a wedding charm from their own wedding or may be saving such a charm for their own special day. Remember to include a little quip or note which explains the occasion and asks the question!

2.  Big Day Jewellery

Of course, a practical way of asking your friends to be your bridesmaids, and a way of saving a little on the budget, is to give your friends the jewellery that you’d like them to wear on the wedding day.

This could be a beautiful necklace or a stunning pair of earrings, and don’t forget that you can have pieces custom made for your girls too.

You do need to be fairly organised if you are to do this so that you can pick something which suits your overall theme and their eventual dresses, or alternatively, check out some options of simple-but-stunning jewellery available at EK Jewellers, Ilford, which will complement any outfit.

3.  A Cuff Above: Something for the Gentlemen in your Party

Of course, if the bridesmaids are being proposed to in such a way, the men in your wedding party shouldn’t be left out! Why not ask them to be your groomsmen with a stunning set of cufflinks that reflect your big day theme? Alternatively, you could push the boat out with a beautifully engraved watch each.

However you choose to treat your bridal party before the big day, remember that EK Jewellers are here for advice. We are happy to help with all things wedding jewellery related, so drop by for a browse and a chat.
